DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Program Manager of Business & Sport, the successful applicant will create a positive teaching and learning environment as well as take the lead role in coordinating, managing, monitoring, supporting and evaluating student On-the- Job Training (OJT) experiences. The ideal candidates will:
- Develop and support a network of community and industry partners to engage with students in work integrated learning, providing resources, and assisting students by coaching, guiding, and finding best-fit placements.
- Maintain regular contact with employer/partners to provide support and assist in navigating any challenges.
- Liaise with external stakeholders to gather and disseminate relevant labor market information.
- Assist learners in the achievement of required curriculum outcomes through such activities as individual and group instruction, self-directed learning, and performance assessments.
- Deliver excellence in learning-centered instruction by establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement as well as effectively planning and preparing for classes and student success.
- Promote student success by showing flexibility in style and work schedule as well as exhibiting a passion for teaching students and engaging students in the learning process.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop, review and update learning materials, using an online based learning management system (SAM).
- Comply with OH&S regulations.
- Participate in program development and planning activities.
- Perform other learning manager related duties as required.
